Marketing gone horribly LOL
I was a little early for my meeting with Katherina yesterday, so I went to a nearby cheap sweets shop to waste my time (and not buy anything, which was so hard). There I saw this:

Nnnngh! I understand that PEZ sells anything on that stick, but those two just absolutely take the cake in terms of weird things. I so want them both, by the way; Katharina suggested I keep them for myself and then every time tourists ask me something, I just whip out one while I muse over the answer. XD Actually, I might break down and buy (one of) them today, that's how weird they are. Ephi, do you think you could appreciate their absolute craziness? I could send you one. (Also, I saw an Elvis PEZ without a package there, which was kind of awesomely horrible as well.)

As if that wasn't enough, just as I said goodbye to Katharina, I saw another ad: http://www.ford.de/kuga . Ford Kuga, you say? What's so special about that? Well, it just so happens that "kuga" in Croatian means "plague". You know, like Black Death. Rider of the Apocalypse etc. I'd like to shake the hand of the guy who thought of this name and didn't think of proper research. XD The Balkans countries will have an absolute field day making corny jokes about this. ;p Oh, and especially juicy is the Ford motto: "Feel the difference." Mwa ha ha. XD

And to put the icing on the cake, an ad that I saw when I met up with Stefan left my mouth open, because... I don't know, I'm just speechless.
This is the website with the ad: http://www.blackjackcola.at/ . Black Jack is an older brand, so we're used to that; but what is it with the probably black butt? I actually thought it was a guy's butt at first, so if you meet me with a strap-on in the dark, run no matter which gender you belong to, I can't keep your butts apart. But well, in this case, it's not only racist but sexist; kind of so much it just makes me laugh. XD The best is yet to come, though:

Uh-huh, you read that right. Really, trust me - here's another photo of the entire ad.

"Original B.J."? Really? Maybe my mind has long gone down the gutter, but Black Jack is NOT my first association when I hear BJ. Urbandictionary explains it best, really, with a nice image:

Now that must be some AMAZING Cola.

OMG, the PEZ! I want them too! I love the idea of taking them out every time a tourist asks for something. I can so imagine you. *lol*

I once read a whole article with brand names that for one reason or another do not work in another language. It's quite funny - but it's probably impossible to check that your name doesn't mean something strange in any foreign language.

The Black Jack ad: What were they thinking?

The PEZ are indeed awesome beyond awesome. XD

@Black Jack: I have no idea, but I guess I will find out once they properly set up that website... if I even want to know, that is. ;p
